Over the Rainbow

Did you realize the infamous song “Over the Rainbow” (sung by Judy Garland) was more about freedom than Dorothy returning home from the Land of Oz?  Yes, it’s true.  Two Jewish composers wrote the song and it has a strong Jewish immigrant influence. The link provides an interesting back story of this award winning song. Over The Rainbow - Jewish Influence

Recently, I was honored to sing this song as a duet with my friend Barbara playing the piano. The event was the Extravaganza 7, an annual entertainment fund raiser for Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs (GSFE). The nonprofit GSFE donates to charities each year that further its mission to serve women and children - emphasis on empowering women to greater heights in their lives.

To protect the privacy of my beautiful friend, I’ve included our practice session video which shows her back to the camera & her lovely piano accompaniment.  We hope you enjoy our version of the great song.

May the lord bless you and keep you.  It’s a good day to have a good day. 🌝
